Reconstructive Surgery

Reconstructive surgery aims to preserve or restore form and function after illness or necessary surgical procedures. The appropriate treatment is assessed individually by a specialist.

Tumour surgery

Changes in the skin or tissue beneath it may be benign or malignant. If surgical removal is medically indicated, the procedure is planned on the basis of the individual findings.

Depending on the situation, resulting tissue defects may be treated using plastic-reconstructive techniques. Both function and an unobtrusive appearance are considered.

The extent of surgery, anaesthesia and any necessary inpatient care depend on the type and size of the condition.

Breast reconstruction

Following breast cancer surgery, breast reconstruction may form part of further treatment.

Suitable reconstructive options depend, among other factors, on the medical circumstances, previous treatments and personal situation.

The options, limitations and appropriate timing of reconstruction are discussed in a personal consultation with a specialist.

Personal assessment

Reconstructive procedures require an individual medical assessment. We would be pleased to discuss which investigations and options may be appropriate in your situation.
